Currently classes listed are restricted to age 18+. Plans are underway for a youth theatre that will accommodate younger participants, launching in September this year. In the meantime Kat is PVG checked by Disclosure Scotland and can be booked for a 121 by anyone younger than 18 years. Otherwise all experience levels and ages welcome (no, you are not too old!) the only rule is to be respectful, if you can’t do that, you will not be welcomed back.

Just yourself, in comfortable clothes, a bottle of water (Hydrate or Diedrate!) and something to take notes with will be fine. Some of our sessions may require you to bring your own material to work on, or an SD card to keep your recorded work. We will always notify you in advance of the session if anything additional of this nature is required.

The formula for this is class dependent. With Labs you get two reschedules at no charge, on the third reshcedule you will need to pay for a new session. With our classes that take place over a set number of weeks we recommend booking onto the course only if you know you can attend all dates. If for any reason you need to reschedule an entire block once booked, you can do so with 7 days or more notice completely free of charge, 6-3 days notice you will incur a cost of 50% of the course fee. 2 days notice or less will incur the loss of your entire fee and if you wish to rebook you will need to pay the full cost of the course again.
If you are booked onto a block course of set dates and miss a session for any reason, you will not be able to attend a future block in order to make up the missed session. You will be given the option of a catch up 121 session with your coach at 50% of the usual fee. Or you can trust your coach to catch you up in session as best as possible without impacting the rest of the class.

Not Yet is the short answer, but we are working on it. We will be shouting about it far and wide when the time comes. For those unfamiliar, Spotlight is the Casting Directory for all of the UK, most agents won’t sign you if you don’t have a profile on the platform. You must have professional credits to get a profile or have trained on an accredited course. There are many casting directory sites out there but Spotlight is the industry standard and the mark of a professional actor. Until we are accredited we can work with you to help you attain the necessary requirements. We have already successfully helped dozens of actors secure their space and we can do the same for you.

Our founder Kat Harrison is a great believer in being like Bruce Lee in your approach to building your craft. In that we strongly encourage you to read as much as you can, train with as many different coaches as you can, and take what works for you from each approach. We will encourage and support you to build your own techniques. Kat’s own practice is heavily influenced by the works of Grotowski as taught by David WW Johnston, Practical Aesthetics as delivered by Acting Coach Scotland, Michael Keogh’s Intention technique of Inspire Actors Studio and John Swanbeck’s Cinematic Conditioning among others.

Should your booking be cancelled by the studio or your coach for any reason you will be given the option to transfer to the next available date, if that is not suitable for you then you will receive a full and immediate refund.
If you are unsatisfied with the course please do reach out to Kat to discuss your concerns. If the course is deemed to have failed to meet the specifications advertised a partial or full refund may be issued at our discretion.
